Deemed As Our Home & Benefitting Community

“Deemed As Our Home & Benefitting Community” is always the service spirit of Guardian. In recognition of the students whom have studied hard and have achieved outstanding academic performance, Guardian Group set up a scholarship scheme in 2000 to create a good learning atmosphere in the property under our management. In addition, Guardian Group also granted to eligible students and encourages them to concentrate on their studies. At the same time, prospective employees and their children could also participate in the scheme to obtain awards to foster the concept of lifelong learning.

Guardian Education Fund Award

The scholarship scheme was to award a total of one fellowship, 1st runner-up and 2nd runner-up, plus 26 scholarships, 36 grants, 50 places for academic progress awards, and 17 academic progress awards for prospective employees and their children. The total value of the awards and souvenirs exceeded HK $ 270,000.

Evaluation Advisory Committee

This year, the Evaluation Advisory Committee was chaired by Mr. Peter Ho - the Managing Director. The Advisory Board include Dr. Johnnie Chan, BBS, JP – Chief Executive Officer (Savills Services Group), Dr. Wong Kam-chong, President of the Hong Kong Institute of Real Estate Administrators, Mr. Clarence Chan – the Chairman of CAIS Limited, Ms. Lilian Lui – Director of Holistic Parents Education & Resource Centre & Lecturer of Education Leadership Research Center, School of Education of The University of Hong Kong, Mr. Clarence To – the Chairman of the Incorporated Owners of The Cliveden. All applicants were screened by the Preparatory Committee of the Scheme, the selected candidates would then be interviewed by the Evaluation Advisory Committee to select the most outstanding ones.

Enthusiastic Response Towards the Schemeand the Winners were all Deserved It

A total of 259 applications were received this year, of which 29 were scholarship applicants. The Advisory Board recognized most of the applicants were the top group of the diploma test. The evaluation was not only based on the applicants’ academic performance, but also taking consideration of their extracurricular activities, general knowledge, life goals and interview performance etc. Finally, 3 of them win the scholarship award, while the remaining 26 would won the newly set merit award this year.    

The Guardian Education Fund Award 2017

The 18th Guardian Education Fund Award was held on 2 September 2017 at S.K.H. St. Benedict’s School at Choi Hung. All applicants were invited to participate the award ceremony to witness and share the happiness of the winners.
